You can buy land in Bali if you have a Balinese partner, not necessarily a spouse....He/she must sign as landowner but you can have a ceveat put on the title (certificate) that the Balinese signee has no legal rights to the land and it cannot be sold unless all parties agree...make sure this is done for your own peace of mind..
