This time we had the' want to do 'list and decided be good if Hannah actually accomplished a few of these new things this time.
So rang Umalas stables and booked in .

Made picked us about 8 to be there ready by 8.30 and still have the rest of the day to do whatever. Umalas is quite a big equestrian place where you can also stay and they also teach horseriding skills and vauting for the expat kids which is a little like circus tricks on a horse.

Just had to wear long pants and appropriate shoes of which luckily we remembered to pack.Cathy and I decided instead of the sore post- riding bum we would keep ours nice and comfortable on a chair at their restaurant with a coffee in hand. The rest.is set in a garden area down the back near the pool.So great if your waiting while others have gone out riding.

They offer many different length rides depending on experience and as Hannah and Wills was minimal they just led them for about half an hour around the rice fields. The lady there said that Hannah next time should do the hr beach ride so obviously thats on agenda.

Cost around $22 for the half hour.

As Made was with us thought it easiest to stop at Geneva whilst we were in Seminyak area. Hannah not being able to tolerate shops much ( unless shopping for herself, surprise ,surprise ) opted to stay with Made downstairs and annoy him no doubt ,although when we returned he had found some groovy cds for her to listen to.

Like kids in the candy shop you just never know where to start when on a Geneva frenzy. Always looming up there is that question.. will it fit in the bag ?.. But always seem to buy whatever and think about it later usually at nervous breakdown time on the last day just hoping those suitcases have somehow taken on tardis like properties overnight to miraculously allow the mountainous pile of shopping to squeeze in.

Decided this time to buy the small square cushions for an outdoor setting ,settling on a bronzey orange colour and bought 8. Cathy looking at these also bought 4 in cream. They were less than $5 each. All good UNTIL we were in customs in Adel. Declared all my wood and whilst checking that, customs officer saw a couple of the cushions i hadnt managed to wrestle into the suicase or my friends sons surfboard bags and asked to see them. Well just like on the airport show after we collected them from assorted bags and had them xrayed still werent sure so out comes their handy little knife to cut open one of my cushions. Of course couldnt be a nice neat cut but a couple of smaller incisions to pull out some of the stuff inside. After this still werent sure so only way we could keep them was to pay $60 between us to get them Gamma rayed which we decided to do but takes about a month.

The bizarrest thing was that i had a nice set of 8 cushions but after being xrayed, examined ,cut opened etc somehow between leaving Bali and leaving customs one had disappeared so now have only 7 which is a pain ,had them searching the xray machine etc but to no avail all very strange.,. Motto to this story check theyre not Kapok or ask for some documentation that they have been treated. With lots of things exported from Geneva thought this wouldnt have been a prob.

Anyway as usual havent even covered the first floor let alone the other two decided it time to head to the check out before we needed a container to get it home in . As usual all very cheap. Great for pressies.

From here decided to stop at Pepitos supermarket to to buy rice, noodles etc to give to another family after Nyepi, while Made there to assist me on what was best to buy. . Also stock up on drinks and snacks for Hannah.

As we had the early start, great, as back at the hotel at lunchtime to play lounge lizard around the pool. That was after making a delivery of gifts plus makeup, toiletries clothes etc to the beach sellers.

Enticed Hannah to have a massage then a sleep in the aftie as being picked that night up by Made who had kindly offered to take all of us to the Ogoh Ogoh parade .
