their classroom and the children get very excited. I never go empty handed. On one trip, I carried 20 boxes (100 per box) of chalks that our school (I am a teaher)was throwing away because they were not dustless (very wastefull, I know). The teachers had never had coloured chalks and were so excited. Might sound strange, but in schools in Bali and other parts of Indonesia, the teachers are given two sticks of chalk at the start of the day and they have to hand back to the Principal the chalk that is remaining at the end of the day, so to suddenly receive so much chalk as a donation, caused a big stir. On another trip, I took laminated photographs and coloured pictures of Aussie animals. On another, I took 20kilo of pens, pencils, erasers, etc that were collected at my school at the end of terms. I have a 'Bali Box' in my classroom and all the children put in the box, consumables that they no longer want at the end of term. Also carried 20kilo of boxed Strand crayons that were donated. They too were very well recveived. Maps of Australia are also very popular.

I am sure you will enjoy your visit.
