If they choose to write about it that is there choice but at no point are they asking you or I or anyone else to pass judgement.
You say with what appears to be sarcasm 'you know we all have to be nice on here' - and I think that is exactly right. Be nice! What do you have to gain from being horrible or from posting negative comments about someone's personal life. Maybe try to live by the adage 'if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all.'
How any of us choose to live our lives is our business whether we write about it or not!
