Visa-run for new VOA

I'm planning to fly to Singapore and then back to Bali just to get a new VOA and another 30 days in Bali. I wonder if there are any rules or restrictions to think about? Is it ok to go back the same day? Do I have to go through immigration in Singapore? Or anything else I need to know?
