Many years ago, we went through the mill as you have, trying to get passports / visa's etc. Eventually, we managed to bring Iluh, our Pembantu (?) to Perth for 6 weeks.
The plane ride nearly freaked her out, she was taken to the cockpit, and actually sat in the cockpit for the landing, we reckoned that she turned white,,,, but she and we had a ball.
