Why should she spend 10% of what she spends on jewelry for herself as tip for a taxi driver?
Now I guess the taxi driver had the meter running while waiting. So he is paid for sitting around doing nothing. (That is what drivers do most of the time anyway...)
Tipping or not is up to the customer. I only tip if I get good or outstanding service.
