Went to Bali for first time last year and stayed at Ubud for 2 days. After this we went to Kuta and Legion. Ubud is more like the real Bali. The markets are great and we saw items there that we didnt see anywhere else.
Have booked for this year in July and will be staying at Ubud for 5 days, great place to unwind and get ready for some heavy duty shopping!.
We stay at Champlung Sari Hotel - it is the budget stay for our holiday opposite Monkey forest and short walk to markets.
