We pick up a few puppets each time we stay in Ubud and they are great. There are many shops that sell them but the quality does vary. I understand that they are actually Javanese but they are often "dressed" locally. Last time we found a tailor called Made in Jl Hanoman who dresses them nicely with good quality cloth. She also made me a fantastic shirt out of the most wonderful cotton cloth. Her label & shop name is "Buy Made". I will be heading straight to her shop in a couple of weeks to stock up!
