At the risk of being howled down again and as you've requested I answer the following from Smudge
"Just curious do you actually go to Bali do you have any up to date personal knowledge of Bali or is your interest limited to promoting Government warnings are you actually interested in Bali was hoping there is a positive side to you"
Now for the benefit of you all,..everytime I mention my history and professional experience and connection with Bali, I get howled down by many on this forum.
Smudge saying my interest is limited to promoting Government warnings ,...that in my opinion was not only stupid but also false,,,..we currently have a thread started by a member (not me) that questions safety in Bali, so I mentioned the Government warning,...for memory I may've started since the last Bali bombing 1 or 2 threads on Government warning because they made the news,.... now other members have started other threads on Government warning also and I most likely commented on those threads,.. if a questions posted of the warnings or safety I also may have commented,..others do!.........do a little research and you'll find i've commented and given advice on various topics..

I've travelled extensively through Asia for many yrs. first trip to Bali 1976, last before the first bombing,.. a total of 50+ trips to bali during that time which included over 5 yrs living and working there 89-94... as marketing and management consultant,.........worked with GOH, Qantas holidays, Creative tours, Ansett holiday to name a few,.in the promotion of Bali, provided various promotional material for the brochures, hosted 10-15 agents educations each year,...planned marketing strategy for various hotel,....was invited to give lectures to students of UTS Sydney,.. also yearly meetings with the above mentioned companies and their Australian based head offices,.... involved also in hotel industry training of local in Bali.,... worked with the Australian consulate in Bali on various cultural exchanges
While i'm now retied I do keep in touch with many in the industry both her and in Bali..
Ok I might have given smudge the benefit of the doubt, but his comment did show complete lack of knowledge in respect to my contribution on this group,.. so I will retract the statement.
