WELL HERE WE GO AGAIN AND SORRY NEARLY DID NOT MAKE IT TONIGHT I WAS CHATTING WITH REX!! THANKS REX
As we drove to senua we chatted and at times Ketut would fel stuck for how to say something so she would talk with Augus in indonesian and then he would help her out or she would be able to explain her self. Me I was happy to just be there at this stage and was thinking how lucky am I and I have to say love the way Ketut spoke not just her acent but just how she spoke!! Sorry but its kinda hard to explain what I mean just was!!
After about 25 minutes we are in down town Senua and found ourselves that we are at the door of a very nice little place called the just grill, for those that do not know it or are interested in finding it, it is on the main road into senua and just a little past maca's
We are greated at the door by a staff member that asks us where we want to sit and Augus points to a table close to a small stage in the far left corner, a little while after sitting down Ketut and I decide that it might be better to sit a liitle more towards the back, so we move a few places back. After ordering our drinks and dinner we continue our talk from the car and I learn more about Ketut and her friendship with Augus.
Ketut tells me about her well paid (by bali standards) job doing the samples and ordering for a clothing manufacturer in Seminyack. She is talking like she is more comfortable with me now and sounds to me like she enjoys her job. Oh and for the ladies in the audience my darling Ketut is wearing a rather nice fitted skirt red in colour and is just a little lower than the knees, a black top which is kinda like a classy tshirt type top with shoe string shoulder straps, the top has a little lace at the top around the front across the bust and she has a matching black bra. Black low heal open back shoes finish off the outfit and she looks just lovely.
Ok I know I'm not fashion writer but I think you get the idea, and I just could hear you asking what is Ketut wearing!! LOL For those that really need to know I'm wearing my best shirt from home not Bali special nice long pants, don't tell the boss they are pary of my work uniforn the casual ones!! and nice cuffy sandles brown leather, and they are just great good for walking around Bali but still a little dressy.
Dinner was served and hows this for corny we meaning Ketut and I are feeding eachother a taste of eachothers dinner..
Dinner was for me three course and Ketut two, she did not have a starter, and Augus two he also just main and sweets. After dinner we have another drink and leave, paid the bill at the end was no problem I was just amazed as it cost so little for the meals and drinks(I remember it being less than 150000 rp) if thats not cheap I like to know what is, oh and transport 50000 rp for the driver.
The drive back to the hotel was again filled with conversation about nothing in particular. Back at the hotel after we say to Augus Ketut will ride her motor bike back to Denpasar with him when he finished his shift at midnight now being 9pm gives us a few hours to enjoy further conversation and getting to know eachother. As like always in Bali its hot out we retire to my hotel room Ketut telling me it is a nice room and bigger than where she lives in Denpasar. I ask what bigger than your bedroom she smiles and says no bigger than the room (one room ) she lives in!!
Wow your kidding I ask, no true its bigger I'm amazed and think what would Ketut or and Balanese person think of my modest three bedroom house I live in Perth!! I know well before now that I like this lady and if she will see me again I must show her a couple pics of my house back home I have on my digital cammera.
We spend the next three hour just enjoying being together and I know its not perfect but we do communicate very well even though Ketut tells me her english is no good, not sure how often she would smile at me and say Peter I'm sorry my english very bad, andthen me telling Ketut no your english very good, no problem and please I say to her do not say sorry you have nothing to say sorry about. :-))
This lady is like all balanese I've met so very polite and nice to spend time with and the fact I found her beautifull as well does not hurt. Before we walk out to Augus office I have told Ketut how much I have loved meeting her and would very much like to see her again, to which Ketut tells me she too would like to see me again and we arange to meet soon, although my idea of soon was tomorrow after she finished work. After a warm hug I take her to Augus office, again after a long goodnight I kiss Ketut and wave her goodbye.
Well after they are gone I go to the bar and sit for a short while talking with my friend Nick the barman who I've known since he was the DJ at the disco that the hotel had back in 1989 on my first visit, it was then one of those 18 - 35 year old places ( the ocean blue club). About 1am I head off to bed a very tired but very happy man..
