I run my own business and am forced to accept all the risks involved. Insurance premiums are huge and still do not cover all risks involved. At times when we are pursued, even when fault is not ours, it is up to us to pursue the next along the line to hopefully recover our costs.
Unfortunately, that is all part of being in business, I'm afraid. No, it doesn't always seem fair, and it's certainly not easy. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it. Sometimes you make excellent money, sometimes you don't.
There are a number of 'contracts' concerned in booking travel. One is between the traveller and the agent. The agent then has his own 'contract' with the wholesaler, and so on. The Traveller only has one party he can pursue, i.e the agent. It is then up to the agent to fight his own battle further on.
Bear in mind, the traveller will only win his money back if he is in the right.
