We received ours while we were in Bali in December, API collapsed a week prior and we had it credited back to our ANZ card while we were away. That included the accommodation. We still haven't been charged for the trip again which we rebooked with Garuda but keeping the same accommodtion so essentially we have had a free holiday to date :-)

If you don't receive the service, then credit cards generally refund you. Same thing happened when we were in England and my sister was charged 1000 pounds for alleged damage to the car. She disputed it as an unauthorised transaction and never had to pay. The moral of the story is never use cash ~ always use credit card.
