If anyone on the flight from Bali to Perth in October wanted to bring ANYTHING at all into the Perth terminal the only thing that would have stopped them would have been the security on boarding at Bali airport. On arriving at Perth, 2 plane loads, there was no security visible in any form. 4 customs officers, only interested in alcohol excess or wooden items. No-one to help the elderly struggle with wheelchairs and heavy luggage and after about 1/8th had passed through customs counters two staff members shut down to take their tea breaks.. It has been pointed out to me that the "black domes" in the ceiling is the security cameras...all good and well but even with our "modern" technology I don't think they can detect drugs, explosives or much else from that distance. If I am wrong and they can detect these things then how do they stop said bomber from detonating??? I am no security expert just know as far as visible security measures Bali felt and looked a lot safer than Perth
