The biggest problem on the whole forum is that most forumites are so blinded by the Bali experience that they can see no wrong in anything.I am in Bali at the moment and having a wonderful time as always but I can also see that although there are many uniforms and truncheons and guns,most are for show and would have no idea what to do in any emergency.They would handle things in the normal Bali way which would be full of heart but not substance.
Hardly any have had training and sit or stand with blank faces,bored looks and some even sitting sleeping.
I love it here as much as anyone but you cant compare the overall security package to Australia,US,Britain,Israel etc.
Sorry to sound negative but I know its true,
