Hubby & I have booked for Bali again for late March and April. Using my free week at The Peninsula timeshare (thanks to those who gave me so much great info on using the free week given as a reward for sitting thru the hard-sell) in Tanjung Benoa, then off to Kuta, Lombok for a week them back to Bali for me while hubby goes off to remote islands on the never-ending quest for the perfect surf.
I welcome info on Tanjung Benoa - have done a forum search and most useful, but I'd like current info pls. The usual stuff - esp transport to/from Kuta & Denpassar. I absolutely refuse to be in a vehicle with hubby driving in Bali ever again!!! I notice there is/was a shuttle bus between Galleria in Nusa Dua & Mata Hari in Kuta - is this still happening? (Altho we'll be staying in luxury at The Peninsula we definitely do not have a luxury budget).
ALSO I have read heaps here about getting curtains made in Bali - my new Burmese kitten has made new curtains an imperative. I need lined pinch pleats for both bay and ordinary windows with the pulley thingies - my pulley things are old and need replacing. ALSO I want to replace our matchstick curtains - they're like the pull up ones but vertical, just like ordinary sliding curtains, if you know what I mean. Can't find anywhere here in Perth selling them so I am hoping to get lots made in Bali - any & all info on places that might make them and any difficulties in getting them back thru Customs would be most welcome & much appreciated.
