You say you spent ALL your time with him,.... does he work?.. you go clubbing with him every night and of course that in itself is a big thing for him,... I assume the drinks you pay for?
Sorry but this is a very familiar pattern,...young girl meets nice friendly Balinese boy,... spends a lot of time with him, as he's poor spends money on him takes him to clubs at here expense,... offers to sponsor him to Australia....
Now it may surprise you but this happens all the time and in a lot of cases is an occupation,...standing at the airport saying farewell, maybe a sad look and "you not forget Ketut",...and then when you leave they 're straight of to meet someone else,...
Some of these boys have regular girls that do exactly the same as you,.. i had a Balinese friend that was married in Bali has two kids,...and did 4 trips to Australia paid for by girls,...married two Australia girls,.. never divorced any of them...

PS Once you can speak Bahasa Indonesia well,.. you'll find a lot of Balinese will be spoken around you....
