Sorry to be boring but I want to add that "bahasa" is a common noun meaning 'language', you then have to had the adjective to the noun head, thus "bahasa jerman" is "German", "bahasa inggris" is "english", "bahasa cina" is chinese, and so on. Unfortunately many Indonesians do not correct us when we keep on blurring the difference between the 2 concepts, maybe because they are so polite and so thrilled that people are making any effort to have a go in their languages. I am told that "Bahasa bali", "balinese" is a very difficult language compared to Indonesian/Malay.
That is my 200 rupiah worth.
