Bali Orchid gardens charges upward of Rp50,000 per flask.
They actually outsource the flasks from a mob called Royal Orchids that have their Denpasar office on the main Tabanan, in Ubung.
If you buy from Royal Orchids direct the flasks cost between Rp20,000 and Rp25,000 and they have a much bigger choice.
The rules for taking flasked orchids back to Oz are:
1. They must be hand carried, you cannot post them
2. Max 6 flasks per person in your party
3. No limit to the number of plants per flask (there is usally between 30 and 50 plants in the sauce bottle sized flasks that you get from Royal Orchids)
4. Flasks must be clearly labelled and show no obvious signs of disease
5. If all the above complied with then no Phytosanitary Certificate or Import Permit is required.
The AQIS people at the airport are very often not aware of their own rules and may try to confiscate your flasks so I suggest you look at and then download the relevant pages from the AQIS site to show the AQIS people at the airport.
