Orchid Gardens is open from 8 to 6 every day. It's aprox 1 hectare and a casual stroll around will take about 1 hour.
We drove past it the first time and both the driver & I were looking. Entry was 50,000rp but I said I was purchasing cultures so we both got in free.
Here are the details as of Dec 04
Jl Bypass,Tohpati,Denpasar

from Sanur you take Ngurah Rai bypassand head north then its right Kusamba bypass and right again .
Even my driver enjoyed the hour we spent there and after we left he talked about growing orchids for his parents(he is building them another house in their village)
I would get you driver to ask other drivers - the day before or I can give you my drivers details
I always go from there to Tegallalang village - she can also buy orchids and bring them home- they use to come with an inspection certificate- have changed management some time ago so you need to check . I have never bought the flowers - just the culture flasks. you have to make sure there is no soil in the cultures. email me if you want the drivers details
