Contacting direct seems to be the way to go. They do require you to give then your credit card number etc, fax of passport and scan of credit card..things you may be wary of doing. We have done so twice now to confirm bookings and had no problems with security etc. We were quoted 350,000 night (for 2 people) in room 17...just beyond the pool, but chose to pay 450,000 per night for the new villa rooms, and were so glad we did as it was incredible value for money compared to other hotels we have stayed at all over Bali.
