"Stupid is as Stupid Does". All over the world there is news of various degrees of threats from terrorism, mugging, murder... whatever you wish really. There are definitely some areas no sane persopn would go to.
Bali is called "comparatively safe" by those of us who love her...and a "definite no go" by those who are very cautious.
For as long as I can recall, there have been postings and news reports about travelling in Lombok and many other neighbouring less 'westernised' areas of Indonesia.
Following these recent events in Indonesia, plus adding that which many already know, the only thing I would say to you is this:
"Have a great time, and with luck you wil be fine. In the event of something terrible happening, don't go squealing for help, because you have been warned already many times"
It sounds like one of my grand kids.. when I say, Don't do such & such 'cause U will get in trouble... sure enough... s#@#t happens!!
