First of all there is no problem visiting Lombok and Sumbawa. It's peaceful and people are nice and friendly.
You have to be aware that if you'r involved in a trafficaccident in Indo you'r the one who will end up paying, no matter what. Also, if the car breaks down, you'r responsible. Usually there isn't any insurance.
The holy month of Ramadan is being celebrated now and will be so until at the beginning of November. This means that muslims doesn't eat and drink during the day only after sundown. Just for your information.
