The people giving the most advice have never been to Bali and will never be going there. Probably Bali is safer now than it will ever be, and any would be terrorist knows it would not be wise to be there now. Luckily the children argument would not affect my decision, but I can understand it being a big problem with people who have to travel with children. I think people who have been to Bali many times can make a value judgement, and it gets up my nose that people with little or no experience in travelling in Asia have such strong views about the dangers.
