My 18yr old son and girlfriend were going to Bali to celebrate completing their HSC. I was going as well with my 9yr old,the girlfriends mother and her friend leaving the 20th November. Our trip is now in tatters as my ex has said no way to the 9 yr old going, he doesnt want the son to go either but as he is 18 he can make his own decisions. The friend has cancelled and the girlfriends mother has changed their accomodation to the Bumi Ayu at Sanur. I am still undecided as I was so looking forward to having a fab time with family and friends. My question is, is Sanur a good place for older teenagers? How far from Kuta (I came to Bali last year but did not get to Sanur) And for anyone who has been recently how is the security and the atmosphere at nightclubs like paddys bar, bounty ship etc where the young ones want to go?
