Some of the injured, non-Australian tourists were flown to Darwin. One of these was a German who was accompanied by some friends who were all in Sari Club but escaped relatively unhurt. After a day or so of waiting around the hospital, they decided to take a tour. One went swimming and was killed by a crocodile. If it hadn't been for the bomb, they may not have been in Darwin.
If it your time, I suppose there is not much you can do about it.
