Your words are the same words that have been spinning in my head since Saturday.
We have not made a final decision on when, or if, we may go again. It tears my heart out to say that. It is a very personal choice and a difficult one.
We were there in June last year with our girls (18 & 23) and felt so safe and relaxed. I don't think I could ever feel that way in Bali again.
I read this forum every day and will continue to do so. It has become a routine as natural as breathing.
I did not lose anyone close in the last bombing but I have watched a lovely young work mate go through years of painful surgery and mental torture as a result of the Sari club atrocity.
There are many places we want to see but we were always drawn back to Bali. Now we are free to explore other shores, how selfish does that sound. Meanwhile our friends in a place we have come to love are going to suffer terribly for many years to come.
I could write all day, but it has all been said by many others.
