or any sensational item I guess. This is what happenned to us in Bali a few weeks after the last bombing.

We were staying at Jayakarta and it it was of course pretty quiet but we were in the pool at the swim up bar talking to a really nice young bloke called Leo from USA and a terrific girl from Sydney called Rachel. The Channel seven news crew arrived and after doing an interview with the Bali Hoteliers association the cameraman came accross (what a prima donna!!!) and asked us to move. He wanted to film an empty hotel pool because it suited the slant of his broadcast about Bali being finished! To this day I don't know why we moved for him and I wish we hadn't.

The situation is bad enough without slanted news coverage making it look worse.

Last night, what do you know, channel 10 news covered the many people staying put and channel 7 barely skimmed it. I'm not saying channel 10 is anymore ethical than other TV journos but it just brought that back to mind. Guess I'll try the ABC or SBS tonight!!
