The travel agent (Flight Centre) suggested I'd be up for $700 per person just to change destination!! So I told my consultant I'd make some calls and this is what I found: Firstly, Hotel Padma has no cancellation fee in this case, I was booked in for December, Melia Bali does have a 15% cancellation fee. Garuda stated $275 per person for a cancellation BUT a much lesser fee, if just changing destinations. As for their own travel agent fees, if you re-book through them they aren't missing out so stuff that!!! So what I found is instead of being out $1400 it would be more like $300. Big difference!
