if they don't feel it is safe for them or their family?
Let's say someone sets a trap for you, you step in it and it cuts off your left foot
now they set another trap
must you step in it again and lose your right foot? What does that prove?
I just completely fail to understand the logic that says people should put themselves in harms way...
for what? for tourist dollars? to prove the point that you can put yourself in harms way again?
Going to a place that you feel is unsafe is not brave. It is foolish.
If you feel you will be safe after reading all the warnings and information, then by all means, go ahead.
But if you don't feel safe, don't go somewhere just because a bunch of posters on a message board want you to to.
And whatever you do, if you are in Bali, don't let anyone put any pills on you, don't buy any pills and stay away from any authorities who may plant them on you.
Read the story of Michelle Lee and understand it:
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/story.cfm?c_id=2&objectid=10342004
That story, by the way, incorrectly states that she was found with Esctacy. She was not, it was two pills amphetamine. The press said she admitted she was an "ecstacy addict". That is also untrue. She says they were not hers and they were put in her purse by someone else.
Realize that if someone does put 2 pills in your purse or if the authorities plant them, you will face life in prison in Bali.
This quote in the story is correct:
"She had flown to the island against the wishes of her family, who were concerned for her safety after the dramatic trial and conviction of Queensland trainee beauty therapist Shapal Corbee."
