Why are you scared going on your own this time?
I don't think whether or not you go on your own will affect what may or may not happen on your holiday, as far as these awful 'external' things go, if thats what you're worried about?
I doubt I could travel ANYWHERE on my own though! Having said that, I'm kind of fed up with everything at the moment and did consider going away by myself instead of re-booking my holiday with friends... naughty huh.
