make sure that your friends and/or family at home have an up-to-date itinerary. Make sure you stay in regular contact with them to let them know you are alright. Either have set times that you contact them or vice versa, or tell them if your plans change. And please if there is a disaster of any kind, not just man-made, even if on another island in Indonesia, contact your family and/or friends and let them know you are OK.
