we booked with ap the week b4 the 2002 bombings for jan 2003. they we're just about to start flights at that time. (oct 2002) the bomblings meant from memory they delayed their intial flights until the dec. Given i had spent years talking my husband into flying to bali and taking our chn. his immedite reaction was nope. we aren't going. and no we didn't we were given the choice of either having a voucher for full value of our trip to fly somewher else. (12 month limit on time to use it)or getting cash back minus fees. etc they the TA were very generous and we didn't lose a lot of cash .. 200 from memory. 50 for each of us. ( one of our kids suffers flight sickness and having flown via bali to the uk we kknew he could make it that far. Yes thats when we discovered his flight sickness problem.. yuk :) So going else where when all we could be offered was furhter asian distances with the travel company meant it wasn't a viable option) Anyway depending on your travel agent you may be able tog et a partial refund or a voucher to spend else where.

sadly after 3 years.. i've finally talked hubby into returning to bali. 8 weeks from now. All i can think of is the poor balinese people.. and i know its going to be very difficult to talk hubby into going. My heart goes out to those who have lost family and loved ones this time. and to the balinese people who will once again suffer because of these bombings.
