The safety of the people visting is more important than any money that goes into the local economy.
The Bali government and people have done basically nothing to prevent this type of thing. The clubs aren't secure, the government won't crack down on those resposible.
Abu Bakar Bashir has been arrested multiple times in Bali but got what, 4 years for being behind the killing of how many tourists?
And Corbee (can't post her name because the forum banned it). She was a foriegner who was "convited" of bringing pot into the country. She got 20 years. She is still in jail (100% conviction rate) even though these bombers run free to kill more tourists. Yeah, and we can't discuss that here because it shows the truth about Bali.
And it seems the government and travel industry's #1 agenda is to tell people to keep coming to Bali without concern for people's safety.
Sorry, something has to change or people aren't going to visit.
The attitude is what needs to change first.
I don't see why anyone would travel to a country that does essentially nothing to keep them safe and that only cares about the money they bring in.
