What you describe is not real Bali Belly, just your standard Travellers Diarrhoea. Many people suffer from cramping and diarrhoea. This as often as not is caused by change of eating habits, different food [how it is cooked and spices etc used] and drinks, more alcohol than usually consumed.

You would know the difference between the BB and TD if you really suffered from a bout of Bali Belly. Not only would your ass running like a tap, but you would be vomiting at the same time. At the time you may feel that a gun and a bullet would be preferable. That is when you need medical assistance. Either BIMC or SOS clinic are excellent. Otherwise the hotel will call a doctor to come to you.

As painful an annoying as Travellers Diarrhoea is, flush your system by drinking water, and stay put in your resort so you have a toilet close by. Within 24 - 36 hours it should clear up, and a doctor shouldnt be necessary. SPECIAL NOTE: If it is a male that is laid up then this 24 hour period is an excellent window of opportunity for a woman to shop without mercy.

In recent trips to Bali I have taken Inner Health Plus capsules] - [Good Bacteria], which may or may not help with gut problems, but they wont hurt.

Additionally, take some sachets of Gastrolyte with you. If you do get ill, the most important thing is to remain well hydrated, and gastrolyte will assist with that.

Enjoy your holiday and tell your inlaws not to focus on things which may never happen....but from what you describe if they dont sh*t a brick each day they may be screaming like a banshee that they have BB.

Print this off and give it to them in case of emergency...at worst they can use it for toilet paper at best to check if they have the correct symptoms....LOL cheers :-)
