checked into it last Oct as we left a week after Jakarta bombing and yes we are returning in 6 weeks. Travel insurance only covers you if the airlines cease flights into Bali. They do not cover if you cancel because of a warning or for acts of terrorism. Therefore unless the airlines cancel your flights you will loose all money paid if you cancel.
Anyway tell your girlfriend in actual facts international warnings are higher for Australia than Bali so is she going to leave Australia. She might stay here and get hit by a bus tomorrow. No use stopping your plans go and have a great time and just be cautious.
