can be very cheap and with the AUD so competitive with USD at the moment it works really well. In my experience what makes the bookings cheaper (and convenient) are that you usually pay per room not per person, you are able to make a choice from a larger range of hotels rather than the few that the TA is able to find in theiir brochure and breakfast and taxes are all included. There is also a lot of freedom if you prefer to stay in more than one hotel during your holiday as opposed to package deals which can be very cheap only if you stick exactly to their itinerary.
