I do hope she is doing much better now, How is she?

I agree read the fine print.

Good job it wasn't a fall or slip after your meal especially if you had a glass of wine/alcohol with your meal, fine print says "affected by alcohol" then if you would of had medical treatment there in Bali you would not of been covered. After our experience I truely think she is better off having treatment at home(OZ?) financially and personally. You would of needed heaps of money my husbands bill came to approx, $3,800 AUS,(pay or NO treatment) 2 Xrays 1 scan and 11 stitches, not to mention they detected high colestrol and gave him tablets when a full check was done in Australia his colestrol was in perfect range, strange that.

Can i also offer some advice to those being treated in Bali no matter how distressed you are check all bills. My husband was seen by 2 specialists, they saw my husband at the hospital but yet the clinic(previous place prior to the hospital) also charged for them too and hey the clinics bill was dearer and much more expensive than the hospital, can't explain why they would both charge us.

Sorry to hear about your wife :-( I say you did the right thing seeing treatment in Australia? even if it does cost you, Maybe the travel insurance would of found some other excuse. No one knows what a travel insurance is really like unless they try and make a claim, then we learn from our experience, hopefully others do too.

Sad way to end a holiday.

I agree read all the fine print!
