Treatment is Erythromycin. After 5 days you are no longer infectious but are left with the raking cough, although mine has improved a lot with treatment. The innoculation is a single injection but is usually bundled up in triple antigen.
Because I had the innoculation I understand taht my bout is apparently less severe. Check the NSW department of health web site for more detail. WC is a notifiable disease and needs a blood test and a throat swab for confirmation ( pretty simple painless process)
