Great, my kids are not vaccinated against whooping cough and I actually already had WC on my mind today before I saw this post.

Besides 2 months in Bali, we'll be 2 weeks in Aus so I guess we now have something new (besides malaria, ear/upper respiratory infections from swimming pools, hepatitis, cholera, typhoid, tetanus, polluted ocean, falling statues, etc..) to worry about! Beginning to sympathize with the guy who posted recently saying (after hanging around BTF for a while)'forget Bali, I've decided to go to the Caribbean instead'...!! Just waiting now for the SARS and bird flu postings... I'd be surprised if I'm the only one who's beginning to feel a little depressed after going through the BTF postings for a few weeks - having kids really changes everything, would never have worried about any of this for myself.

So, what is the treatment for whooping cough? And since the vaccination is (used to be anyway) a series, anyone know if a 4 yr old will be protected enough in a month if vaccinated now?
