On past trips to Bali we've bought home very decorative 20kg statues, paintings already framed, lots of pottery etc. in our luggage. In other words heaps of very fragile objects. I always take a roll (or two) of bubble wrap and packing tape and wrap them myself. Then I roll all our clothes around them, I've bought quilts on a few trips and these are good to wrap around any breakables along with beachtowels. We've never had anything break so no, it's not hard to do it yourself. I always pack things like shoes against exterior surfaces to absorb any shocks to the bag.
You would have to answer "no" to the Q "have you packed everything yourself" .... and we know where a "no" answer is likely to lead in the current environment.
