get off the main streets and you will find heaps of warungs that serve food to the locals down the many lane ways. Or when you see the local stall holders tucking in to their nasi, look up the street and you will see the seller. I know a good place in Jl Bakung sari, Tuban but it is a bit hard to find, it is called Warung Nikmat. Fantastic tasty cheap food. If you want something a little more upmarket try Ketupat Jl Legian, Kuta for authentic Indonesian food.
