I recently bought a digital camera and took it to Thailand and Malaysia. My wife also took her film camera ... I dont think her camera saw light of day.
Unless you want to do more creative photography I would suggest using the space for other things.
There are plenty of places where you can download your photos and have some printed if you wish.
I know when we visit Bali in June I'll be taking my digital only.
