as a torn archillies aint hard to spot. In my opinion hotel doctors are fine for Bali belly etc as they can fix that in their sleep, but otherwise how do you know what their competence level is?, and is this a friend or relative of the owner.
The example given above is typical $100, a ridiculous amount for a call out, AND a wrong diagnosis!!
The standard of a medical degree is much lower than that required in the West, and most of the professors have no post graduate degrees from outside Indonesia - that's just the way it is.
Why the hell do you think that NONE of the the big guys in this country get their medical attention here. It's all Singapore, Australia, USA, Holland or Germany - never Jakarta.
