on our last trip in Feb, one of our group (JP) did himself a mischief at Tanah Lot, came back to Puri Raja and had them call the hotel doctor, he duly attended and the diagnosis was an ankle sprain, he opened his bag, gave him anti inflamitories and pain killers and said it would settle down. The Doc then produced the credit card swiper machine and extracted US$100 from his card. Two days later no improvement so JP goes to BMIC, their diagnosis was a torn achilles tendon, and you my friend, are going home for surgery.

After contacting his travel insurance company (1cover) he was flown home business class on Thursday night and had surgery on the Saturday morning to repair his tendon.

JP had the cast removed last Thursday and today was still limping but all is well and he has been issued with ticketing for air and land content to replace what he missed.

Take from this what you will and make your own judgements but as I said in my opening to the post it is the absolute truth.
