I know some will laugh, particularly those who saw my photo's of the last bali trip....but i am seriously wondering about taking those LARGE blue/white/red stripey $2 bags instead of suitcases.
The typical suitcase weighs around 5 or 6 kilos. That is alot of shopping :)
Now last trip was for 4 nights(turned into 6 but we weren't to know that)and so we took "those " bags instead of suitcases. We took those tie things to secure the zips so you couldn't open. Then we had the usual overnight carry on as well
Was great as we had that extra allowance not using the suitcases.
Considering we have been posting about paying excess, i am wondering if it would be worth taking again next 11 day trip and any longer trips in the future and doing away with the suitcases. Anything breakable or declareable goes in my hand luggage anyway.
Am concerned about the weight not being on wheels and security etc,
What is everyones thoughts on this?
