We are heading over in late June. Does anyone know how to get good seats on AA.
Last year we (wife and I, no kids) flew from Melb via Sydney. We checked into an international flight 3 hours before the melb to syd leg took off and were checked in and recevied our boarding passes for the Syd to Bali leg.We got the second back row and when we aksed if there was anything closer, we were told that there was nother left.
This was about 6 hours before the flight was due to leave Sydney, so no-one would have checked in at Sydney.
I have checked with AA who tell me they do not preallocate seats. If this is the case, how could all the other seats be taken 6 hours in advance.
It was school holidays so being up the front of a full plane was improtant as we had to wait nearly 3 hrs in the VOA queue.
Anyone know how to get allocated good seats??? I am a gold Qantas FF and even this didn't help.
