Tried to call and they told me they will not do it before checking for anyone.
It doesn't make sense, otherwise there is no way our flight last year would have had all seats allocated prior to use checking in, in Mleb 5 hours or so before the flight left Sydney.
I might try and call a few days before we leave under the guise of confirming the booking and see if they can allocate them then.
