It is all you would expect from a 4 star. Gamelan music playing when you arrive - too little of it these days. Central gardens delightful. Pool area is very nice but too many lounge hogs. Dining area has cascading water surrounds and large koi pond with fountain and garden. Breakfast is amazing - EVERYTHING anyone could desire, except fruit choice was a bit boring. They have a weekly culture night - dinner and dancers, looked quite impressive as we walked past.

Kunyit Restaurant towards Kuta has Indonesian food only and was faultless.
Appetite Restaurant towards airport was very romantic at night.
Pantai Restaurant down the beach towards airport is in a great spot and pleasant surrounds but the food did not amaze me.
Green Garden Resort opposite Bali Hai was lovely at night next to the pool. Would be nice for lunch overlooking the beach, but service was dodgy (entrees and meals all brought out at different and wrong times). They gave us a card to fill in re our thoughts on the place! So hopefully service has improved since then.
There are others but nothing to rave about nor complain.

Kodak shop for money exchange and supermarket next to Dynasty just up the road towards Kuta.
