Recently at a huge school fete my friend annd I bought a pair of garden secetars each (excuse the spelling). They are the good type, $35 each. My friend said to me ask him (the elderly man selling them)for a discount for two. I just couldn't do it because he was an elderly man and obviously in need of the money as he would have been on an aged pension. So what I'm getting at is next time you are having a garage sale ask nanna or pop to come over and do the negotiating for you. And yes when overseas bartering is expected but remember to leave a tip. (and not a handy tip)
